Description
The Commonwealth Peace and Reconciliation Challenge Grants are given to ACU affiliates to back initiatives that promote peace, resolution, and indigenous knowledge. Pointed towards academic and professional staff, the grants also support cooperative work focused on either of the two main strategic priorities of the Commonwealth Peace and Reconciliation Network:
- Historical memory and trauma
- Institutional reform/indigenous knowledge
The grants can be used for a diverse range of projects, workshops and events in areas such as:
- Virtual exchange or partnership, teaching / professional practice teamwork, sharing and co-development of learning materials, tools, training and methods to support likelihood and steadiness of procedures planning at Higher Education Institutions.
- Virtual fellowships or partnership, reasonable analyses, research management and uptake capacity building, understanding and authenticating indigenous knowledge and practices.
Eligibilities
- This funding is only available for ACU members and we encourage candidates to cooperate with other ACU member organizations to encourage further Commonwealth associations.
- We will also accept submissions that are led by ACU members but are in partnership with institutions outside of our network.

Four grants of up to GBP 2,500 each, would be available for ACU affiliates to meet the costs of organizing ventures that promote the significances and goals of the Commonwealth Peace and Reconciliation Network.

Application Process
- Complete an Online Application Form
- To apply for a Peace and Reconciliation Challenge Grant, the applicant must first create a MyACU account, which would enable to save a draft application, and to log back in to see the application status once it is submitted.
- You only need one MyACU account. This can be used to apply for other awards or scholarships that are presented by Association of Commonwealth Universities.
- The applicant would be required to supply a project outline and an action plan, with details of what it involves and the predictable institutional effect. The project action plan is demanded for a least of 6 months and a maximum of 12 months.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
It is compulsory for grantees to submit a short provisional report halfway through their project and a complete concluding report within one month after finishing their project. Moreover, any outputs (e.g. toolkits, papers etc.) advanced through the grants are to be made available to the Commonwealth Peace and Reconciliation Network and wider ACU network.
