Description
The Pakistan-China Institute (Lahore) announces a “To China, With Love” essay competition, with winning cash prizes and certificates for all. The invites all those who meet the criteria to participate in the essay contest.
The topic is “To China With Love”. The essay should consist of a letter from Pakistan to China, which represents the perception of a common Pakistani about China. Your essay may consist of personal experiences related to China, your knowledge of China or any opinion you have about China. You can conclude your essay by giving suggestions on how to improve interpersonal relations between the two countries.
Eligibilities
- Participants must be over 18 years old.
- The essay must be written in English or Urdu (each participant can only send one essay).
- Your essay should be between 700 and 900 words.
- Participants are invited to send a scanned copy of their passport and/or CNIC and contact information with the essay. The tests must be sent as a Word document.
- You must include your name and email address at the end of the test.
- For the presentation of the essay, the subject line should be “My essay“.
- Any form of plagiarism will result in disqualification.
- People who have visited China cannot participate in the contest.
- The Pakistan-China Institute reserves the right to publish the submitted essays for the first time.
Benefits
- All participants will be accompanied by a certificate of participation.
- The winners and finalists will be considered for a study tour to China in 2021.
- Remember, there will be separate winners for English and Urdu essays. There will be two winning prizes, four-second prizes and six third prizes.
- The winners will be announced during the last week of October 2021.
Prices will be as follows:
Winning Prize – Rs. 100,000 each
2nd prize – Rs. 50,000 each
3rd prize – Rs. 25,000 each
A consolation prize of Rs. 10,000 for 10 trials
