Description

Under the authority of the Director of the UNESCO New Delhi Office and the direct supervision of the Programme Specialist for Culture Sector, the Intern will assist the Culture Sector in:

 

  • drafting background documents, undertaking study and research related to the Culture sector programmes and projects with particular focus on the UNESCO 1972 Convention on World Heritage, capacity building of the Member States in the effective implementation of the 2003 Convention on intangible cultural heritage and 2005 Convention on the Protection and Promotion of the Diversity of Cultural Expressions and the creative industry sector.
  • online and social media promotion of ongoing programmes – collating relevant information (text and visuals) on existing projects, drafting content, coordinating with social media team to create engaging posts, etc.
  • upcoming events organised by the Sector.
  • any other tasks as may be requested by the Programme Specialist, Culture Sector, and Director, New Delhi Office.

Masters Degree in a relevant discipline

 

 

Work experience

 

Prior relevant experience including internships will be an added advantage. Excellent writing and verbal communication skills in English will be required.
