Description
The Excellence Scholarship & Opportunity Program (ESOP) assists students with a scholarship and mentorship with the ETH Foundation network. The scholarship covers the entire study with living expenses during the course of a Master’s degree.
Eligibilities
A very good result in Bachelor’s degree program (top 10% of Bachelor’s degree program = grade A).
Applicants must make sure to be reachable under the telephone number stated in their CV as the selection procedure might comprise of a VC/phone interview in February.
The applicant would not be eligible for the scholarships, if he/she has enrolled in a program of Master’s degree at ETH Zurich or already holds a Master degree.
Benefits
The ESOP/Excellence Scholarships contains a grant covering study and living expenditures (CHF 12’000 per semester) alongside a tuition fee waiver.

The applicant has to upload a pre-proposal for the master thesis, in addition to the documents for the Master admission

The applicant must develop a pre-proposal Master’s thesis himself/herself by using the established practice of scientific citation. Plagiarism, careless or deliberate misinformation would ultimately lead to exclusion from the admission procedure or if exposed later to the cancelation of the admission and of any scholarship.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
The applications are appraised by the Admissions Boards of the respective Master’s programs. The concluding verdict for presenting scholarships in the Excellence Scholarship & Opportunity Program and in the ETH-D Scholarship rests with the ETH Director. The number of yearly scholarships depends on the availability of resources, and their decisions are communicated by end of March.
