Description
The School of International Development is offering two PhD studentships to potential applicants starting a PhD in International Development from the academic year 2021/22.
The studentships will be given to applicants who, in their research proposal, can evidently validate academic brilliance in areas related to the strategic interests of the School of International Development.
The School of International Development contributes in the annual SeNSS (South East Network for Social Sciences) competition for +3 (PhD) and 1+3 (Masters + PhD).
Eligibilities
Applications are welcome from appropriately qualified applicants all across the world with a unique and high quality research proposal.
Applications for PhD studentships are invited from suitably qualified graduates.
Applicants should characteristically hold, or expect to hold, a first degree with a minimum of 2:1 and a good Master’s degree (that is, an award of a Merit or average 60%), and with a thesis mark of at least 65%.
Benefits
The Studentships will cover full tuition fees, regardless of whether candidates are UK/EU or International, a tax-free preservation grant (now £15,285 per year), and a research training support grant.
