Description

The College Monk $1500 short essay scholarship is an essay required scholarship with no requirements of GPA. The aim of the scholarship is to provide financial support to college students or high school graduating students who are going to attend a qualified institution in the US. The scholarship is granted once every year and is offered to all qualified students irrespective of immigration status, ethnicity, or national origin. The scholarship receiver would be designated based on the basis of the essay provided.

  • The scholarship is open to all candidates presently pursuing or looking to pursue college education in the next 12 months in the United States.
  • The candidate must be a US legal resident or an International student with a legal student visa.
  • Must be registered or attending an undergraduate or graduate program.
  • The candidate must submit a creative essay that talks about the following questions.
    • In not less than 100 words, candidates must talk about themselves and why they are applying for this scholarship.
    • The candidate must be clear about how this scholarship would assist him/her achieve personal and professional aims.
    • Any previous accomplishments of state, national or global fame should be stated.

 

The $1500 College Monk Short Essay Scholarship contest is open only to those lawful inhabitants of the fifty (50) states of the United States and the District of Columbia or be a foreign student with an authentic visa and should be thirteen (13) years of age or older at the application time and are presently registered (or register no later than 2021 fall) in a qualified post-secondary institution of higher learning (trade school, university or college) unless stated contrarily. Existing workers, officers, executives, and Sponsor agents and their correlated firms and associates of their immediate families (defined as children, spouse, parents, and siblings) and individuals residing at a similar address are not qualified to win. Invalid where proscribed. By entering this program, candidates agree to abide by all conditions of these Official Rules.

How to Enter

 

In order to enter the program beginning on January, 31st 2020, a complete scholarship application ust be submitted online at the Sponsor’s Website no later than January, 31st 2021 at 11:59 PM Pacific Time.

The limit is one (1) application per individual. The application must include contact information, name, background information, academic details, and a short original, formerly unpublished written reply to the scholarship subject mentioned in collegmonk.com for a chance to win $1,500 for college. The written response of the applicant must be written in English, with accurate grammar and spelling, and it must not surpass six hundred (600) words. No replacements of new drafts or modified pages would be accepted once the original application has been submitted. Written replies that are defamatory, indecent, pornographic, or otherwise offensive would be ineligible. The Promotion Parties and all Internet server(s) and access provider(s), alongside each of their particular associates, subsidiaries, parent businesses, retailers and publicizing and marketing agencies, and all of their directors, stakeholders, officers, workers and managers, (cooperatively, “Releasees”) are not responsible for any inappropriate or mistaken entry data; human mistakes; technical faults; failures, errors, disruptions, deletions or flaws of any telephone network, computer online systems, computer apparatus, servers, providers, or software, including without limitation any damage or injury to applicant’s or any other individual’s computer linking to or resulting from contribution in the contest; incapability to access an entry site or any pages thereof; theft, interfering, destruction, or illegal access to, or modification of, entries; data that is administered late or erroneously or is incomplete or lost due to telephone, computer or electronic failure or traffic congestion on telephone lines or the Internet or any web site (counting the entry sites) or for any further motive whatsoever; typographical, printing or other faults; misplaced, stolen, mutilated late, misdirected or any amalgamation thereof. All applications are the property of the Patron and would not be returned or acknowledged. Patron undertakes no responsibility for misplaced, late, incomprehensible, or misdirected applications. By submitting a submission, applicants completely and categorically accept and agree to these Official Rules and the verdicts of the Patron, which are concluding and obligatory.

 

Selection of Possible Winners

 

Patron is looking for qualified candidates who follow instructions and submit applications that are well-written and evidently and productively address the subject mentioned above. On or about February 28th, 2021, a capable board of judges would select one possible winner based on the standards of uniqueness (25%), writing ability (25%), creativity (25%), and total excellence (25%). The patron would choose at least one of the submitted applications as the possible Prize-Winning Application. In the event of a draw, the possible winner would be the applicant with the higher score for overall excellence. The probable winner would be informed by posting on FACEBOOK, email, telephone and/or e-mail, within ten days of drawing date and may be required to return and execute a Release of Liability/ Eligibility Affidavit and (except where forbidden) a Promotional Release and (for U.S. winner) a completed IRS W-9 form within ten days of issuance of notice or a substitute would be selected in a successive random drawing.

 

The patron shall have no obligation for any possible winner notice that is lost, stopped, or not received by the possible winner for any purpose. Patron has the right to select no Scholarship Prize Beneficiary if, in its only discretion, it does not accept an adequate number of appropriate and qualified applications. All Federal, state, regional, local, or other tax obligations are the only obligation of the winners. Reception of a prize constitutes permission (except where proscribed by law) to use the winner’s name, likeness, and statements for promotional purposes without extra compensation or restraint.

One winner would receive a prize of scholarship in the amount of one thousand five hundred dollars. The prize money would be allocated unswervingly to the qualified post-secondary institution of higher education attended by the Scholarship Prize Beneficiary (once the Scholarship prize beneficiary has registered in a qualified post-secondary institution of higher education and submitted enrollment proof to Promoter). Scholarship prize beneficiaries must submit enrollment proof on or before January 31st, 2021. Scholarship Prize may not be allocated, transferred, or altered, except at the only will of the Promoter. No cash equivalent prize would be granted. The bestowing of any Scholarship prize is reliant upon full acquiescence with these Authorized Guidelines and subject to Patron’s confirmation of candidate and candidate’s submission. Candidates agree to be bound by Authorized Guidelines and agree that if any Scholarship Prize Beneficiary fails to provide identity proof, refuses to provide mandatory proclamation, refuses to complete and provide any demanded tax forms (with IRS W-9 form), is found to have violated the Authorized Guidelines or else does not meet eligibility standards, Scholarship prize would be forfeited and the candidate who submitted the application with the subsequent maximum score would become a substitute probable Scholarship Prize Beneficiary. Candidates understand that Promoter is not responsible for injuries, losses, or damages of any kind arising from contribution in this Scholarship Program and acceptance, ownership, and use of Scholarship Prize. The promoter would not be responsible for any typographical or another fault in the printing of the offer, management of the Scholarship program, or in the declaration of the Scholarship Prize. Taxes on prizes are only the obligation of Scholarship prize beneficiaries. Scholarship prize beneficiaries would be given 1099 tax forms.

Except where forbidden, by accepting a Scholarship Prize, the Scholarship Prize Beneficiaries agree that Patron may, without any restriction or more compensation or announcement, use his or her name, voice, and/or likeness in any and all media, globally, for the purpose of marketing and promoting the Website, the Promoter, the Scholarship Program, or any other promotion, competition or sweepstakes backed by thecollegemonk.com.

 

Ownership

 

By submitting an application, candidates accept and agree that: (a) Patron would own their application, including the written response submission, and (b) as between applicant and Patron, Patron would own all issuing rights in the submission of written response and to the application. Every candidate hereby conclusively transfers, sells, allocates, grants, and conveys to the Sponsor, its successors and assigns, all present and future right, title and interest of every kind and nature whatever, including, without restriction, all copyrights, and all rights linked, secondary, auxiliary or related to it (including, without limitation, all derivative rights) in and to the application and the written response submissions for misuse throughout the United States of America, in eternity, by means of any and all media and devices whether now known or hereafter devised (the “Rights”). The patron shall have the right, in its only decision, to edit, composite, scan, duplicate, or modify, the application and written response submissions for any purpose which Promoter considers compulsory or desirable, and each applicant permanently waives any and all so-called moral rights they may have in the application and written response submission(s) submitted by him or her. Every applicant acknowledges that such Applicant does not reserve any rights in and to the application and the written response submissions.

 

Dispute Resolution

 

Except where proscribed, by contributing, Candidate agrees that all matters and queries regarding the construction, legitimacy, explanation, and enforceability of these Official Rules, or the rights and responsibilities of applicants and Patron and their agents shall be administered by and construed completely in accordance with the regulations of the United States without giving effect to any values of conflicts of law of any influence. Candidate agrees that any action at law or in impartiality arising out of or concerning to this Scholarship Program, or bestowing of the prizes, shall be filed only in the state or federal courts of residence and candidate hereby accords and submits to the personal authority of such courts for the purposes of contesting any such action. Except where barred, by contributing in this Scholarship Program, the candidate agrees that: (a) any and all disagreements, claims, and causes of action arising out of or associated with this Scholarship Program, or bestowing of the Scholarship prizes, shall be resolved independently, without resort to any form of class action; and (b) any and all entitlements, verdicts, and awards shall be restricted to actual out-of-pocket costs acquired, with costs linked with contributing in this Scholarship Program but in no event attorneys’ fees; and (c) under no conditions will an applicant be allowed to obtain awards for and hereby relinquishes all rights to claim retaliatory, accompanying and significant damages and any other damages, other than for actual out-of-pocket expenditures, and any and all rights to have damages multiplied or else enlarged. Some dominions do not allow the limits or prohibiting of liability for incidental or significant damages, so the above may not apply to the applicant.

 

Representations and Warranties/Indemnification

 

Every individual who enters this Scholarship Program signifies and warrants to Patron as follows: (i) the application, with the written response submission is the candidate’s own original, previously not published, and previously work not produced; (ii) the written response submission is exclusively unique with the candidate and as of the submission date, is not the topic of any definite or vulnerable lawsuit or claim; (iii) the written response submission neither infringes upon nor disturbs the intellectual property rights or other rights of any other individual or entity; (iv) the written response submission does not and would not violate any related regulations, and meets the Submission Requirements set forth above. Each candidate hereby agrees to insure and hold the Patron harmless from and against any and all third-party claims, activities, or reports of any kind and from any and all damages, obligations, costs, and expenditures relating to or arising out of any breach or suspected breach of any of the assurances, representations or treaties of candidate hereunder.

Except where forbidden, possible Scholarship Prize Beneficiaries (or their parents or lawful custodians if they are minors at the application time) would be required to complete and return a Proclamation of Eligibility, Publicity/Liability Release, and Copyright Assignment within ten days of announcement or the candidate with the application with the subsequent highest score would become a substitute possible Scholarship Prize Beneficiary. If notification to a possible Scholarship Prize Beneficiary is returned as not deliverable, the candidate with the application with the next maximum score may become a substitute potential Scholarship Prize Beneficiary.

 

No Compulsion to Use

 

The patron shall have no duty (direct or indirect) to use any winning application or to else exploit a winning application or continue the growth, production, distribution, or exploitation thereof, and Patron may at any time abandon the use of the winning application for any motive, with or without lawful explanation or excuse, and the Scholarship Prize Beneficiaries shall not be authorized to any damages or other relief by reason thereof.

 

General Release and Limitations on Liability.

 

By entering the Scholarship Program, each candidate admits and agrees that the Patron, its correlated firms, associates, and each such company’s respective workers, officers, executives and agents are not liable for any costs, damages, losses, or injuries of any kind arising from or in connection with: (i) incomplete, lost, late, misdirected or illegible entries or for failure to receive applications due to any reason, including without control human transmission, or technical glitches, failures, or malfunctions of any kind, whether originating with sender, or otherwise, that may limit an ability of the candidate to participate in the Scholarship Program; or (ii) any damage resulting, directly or indirectly, in whole or in part, from participation in the Scholarship Program and/or the use of any prize, including, without restriction, costs, injuries, losses, damages and claims related to personal injuries, death, damage to, loss or destruction of property, or any claims, costs, injuries, losses, or damages related to or based on the applicant’s rights of confidentiality or publicity, or the claim of applicant that he or she has somehow been defamed or portrayed in a false light. Patron undertakes no responsibility for any damage to the computer system of the applicant which is caused by accessing the website or contributing to the Scholarship Program, or for any phone line, computer system, hardware, software or program faults, or other mistakes, failures, delayed computer transmissions or network connections that are human or technical in nature, or for the incorrect or inaccurate capture of data, or the failure to capture any other information. This scholarship program is subject to every U. S. state, and federal law. Void where prohibited.

 

Patron’s Right to Suspend, Modify or Terminate

 

In the event Patron is prohibited from continuing with the Scholarship Program by any occasion outside its rational control, then Patron shall have the right in its only decision to modify, suspend, or dismiss the Scholarship Program.

 

General Provisions

 

Patron reserves the right in its only decision to prohibit any individual who is found to be interfering with the application procedure or the process of the Scholarship Program or the Website, to be acting in the desecration of these Authorized Rules, to be submitting responses fraudulently or erroneously, or to be acting in an unethical or troublesome manner. In the event of a disagreement as to the uniqueness of any applicant, the lawful account holder of the email address used to enter will be considered to be the applicant. The lawful account holder is the natural person given an email address by an Internet access provider, online service provider, or other organization responsible for assigning email addresses for the domain linked with the submitted address. If an application is confirmed by Patron to have been mistakenly removed, misplaced, or destroyed, the applicant’s only remedy shall be another application if time allows. Patron’s failure to enforce any condition of these Official Rules shall not constitute a relinquishment of that or of any other provision.

By entering the Scholarship Program, each candidate admits and agrees that the Patron, its correlated firms, associates, and each such company’s respective workers, officers, executives and agents are not liable for any costs, damages, losses, or injuries of any kind arising from or in connection with: (i) incomplete, lost, late, misdirected or illegible entries or for failure to receive applications due to any reason, including without control human transmission, or technical glitches, failures, or malfunctions of any kind, whether originating with sender, or otherwise, that may limit an ability of the candidate to participate in the Scholarship Program; or (ii) any damage resulting, directly or indirectly, in whole or in part, from participation in the Scholarship Program and/or the use of any prize, including, without restriction, costs, injuries, losses, damages and claims related to personal injuries, death, damage to, loss or destruction of property, or any claims, costs, injuries, losses, or damages related to or based on the applicant’s rights of confidentiality or publicity, or the claim of applicant that he or she has somehow been defamed or portrayed in a false light. Patron undertakes no responsibility for any damage to the computer system of the applicant which is caused by accessing the website or contributing to the Scholarship Program, or for any phone line, computer system, hardware, software or program faults, or other mistakes, failures, delayed computer transmissions or network connections that are human or technical in nature, or for the incorrect or inaccurate capture of data, or the failure to capture any other information. Patron’s Right to Suspend, Modify or Terminate

 

In the event Patron is prohibited from continuing with the Scholarship Program by any occasion outside its rational control, then Patron shall have the right in its only decision to modify, suspend, or dismiss the Scholarship Program.

 

General Provisions

 

Patron reserves the right in its only decision to prohibit any individual who is found to be interfering with the application procedure or the process of the Scholarship Program or the Website, to be acting in the desecration of these Authorized Rules, to be submitting responses fraudulently or erroneously, or to be acting in an unethical or troublesome manner. In the event of a disagreement as to the uniqueness of any applicant, the lawful account holder of the email address used to enter will be considered to be the applicant. The lawful account holder is the natural person given an email address by an Internet access provider, online service provider, or other organization responsible for assigning email addresses for the domain linked with the submitted address. If an application is confirmed by Patron to have been mistakenly removed, misplaced, or destroyed, the applicant’s only remedy shall be another application if time allows. The College Monk $1500 short essay scholarship is an essay required scholarship with no requirements of GPA. The aim of the scholarship is to provide financial support to college students or high school graduating students who are going to attend a qualified institution in the US. The scholarship is granted once every year and is offered to all qualified students irrespective of immigration status, ethnicity, or national origin. The scholarship receiver would be designated based on the basis of the essay provided.

  • The candidate must be a US legal resident or an International student with a legal student visa.
  • Must be registered or attending an undergraduate or graduate program.
  • The candidate must submit a creative essay that talks about the following questions.
    • In not less than 100 words, candidates must talk about themselves and why they are applying for this scholarship.
    • The candidate must be clear about how this scholarship would assist him/her achieve personal and professional aims.
    • Any previous accomplishments of state, national or global fame should be stated.

 

The $1500 College Monk Short Essay Scholarship contest is open only to those lawful inhabitants of the fifty (50) states of the United States and the District of Columbia or be a foreign student with an authentic visa and should be thirteen (13) years of age or older at the application time and are presently registered (or register no later than 2021 fall) in a qualified post-secondary institution of higher learning (trade school, university or college) unless stated contrarily. Existing workers, officers, executives, and Sponsor agents and their correlated firms and associates of their immediate families (defined as children, spouse, parents, and siblings) and individuals residing at a similar address are not qualified to win. In order to enter the program beginning on January, 31st 2020, a complete scholarship application ust be submitted online at the Sponsor’s Website no later than January, 31st 2021 at 11:59 PM Pacific Time.

The limit is one (1) application per individual. The application must include contact information, name, background information, academic details, and a short original, formerly unpublished written reply to the scholarship subject mentioned in collegmonk.com for a chance to win $1,500 for college. The written response of the applicant must be written in English, with accurate grammar and spelling, and it must not surpass six hundred (600) words. No replacements of new drafts or modified pages would be accepted once the original application has been submitted. Written replies that are defamatory, indecent, pornographic, or otherwise offensive would be ineligible. Selection of Possible Winners

 

Patron is looking for qualified candidates who follow instructions and submit applications that are well-written and evidently and productively address the subject mentioned above. On or about February 28th, 2021, a capable board of judges would select one possible winner based on the standards of uniqueness (25%), writing ability (25%), creativity (25%), and total excellence (25%). The patron would choose at least one of the submitted applications as the possible Prize-Winning Application. In the event of a draw, the possible winner would be the applicant with the higher score for overall excellence. The probable winner would be informed by posting on FACEBOOK, email, telephone and/or e-mail, within ten days of drawing date and may be required to return and execute a Release of Liability/ Eligibility Affidavit and (except where forbidden) a Promotional Release and (for U.S. winner) a completed IRS W-9 form within ten days of issuance of notice or a substitute would be selected in a successive random drawing.

 

The patron shall have no obligation for any possible winner notice that is lost, stopped, or not received by the possible winner for any purpose. Patron has the right to select no Scholarship Prize Beneficiary if, in its only discretion, it does not accept an adequate number of appropriate and qualified applications. All Federal, state, regional, local, or other tax obligations are the only obligation of the winners. Reception of a prize constitutes permission (except where proscribed by law) to use the winner’s name, likeness, and statements for promotional purposes without extra compensation or restraint.

One winner would receive a prize of scholarship in the amount of one thousand five hundred dollars. The prize money would be allocated unswervingly to the qualified post-secondary institution of higher education attended by the Scholarship Prize Beneficiary (once the Scholarship prize beneficiary has registered in a qualified post-secondary institution of higher education and submitted enrollment proof to Promoter). Scholarship prize beneficiaries must submit enrollment proof on or before January 31st, 2021. Scholarship Prize may not be allocated, transferred, or altered, except at the only will of the Promoter. No cash equivalent prize would be granted. The bestowing of any Scholarship prize is reliant upon full acquiescence with these Authorized Guidelines and subject to Patron’s confirmation of candidate and candidate’s submission. Candidates agree to be bound by Authorized Guidelines and agree that if any Scholarship Prize Beneficiary fails to provide identity proof, refuses to provide mandatory proclamation, refuses to complete and provide any demanded tax forms (with IRS W-9 form), is found to have violated the Authorized Guidelines or else does not meet eligibility standards, Scholarship prize would be forfeited and the candidate who submitted the application with the subsequent maximum score would become a substitute probable Scholarship Prize Beneficiary. Candidates understand that Promoter is not responsible for injuries, losses, or damages of any kind arising from contribution in this Scholarship Program and acceptance, ownership, and use of Scholarship Prize. The promoter would not be responsible for any typographical or another fault in the printing of the offer, management of the Scholarship program, or in the declaration of the Scholarship Prize. Taxes on prizes are only the obligation of Scholarship prize beneficiaries. Scholarship prize beneficiaries would be given 1099 tax forms.

 

Privacy

Publicity

 

Except where forbidden, by accepting a Scholarship Prize, the Scholarship Prize Beneficiaries agree that Patron may, without any restriction or more compensation or announcement, use his or her name, voice, and/or likeness in any and all media, globally, for the purpose of marketing and promoting the Website, the Promoter, the Scholarship Program, or any other promotion, competition or sweepstakes backed by thecollegemonk.com.

 

Ownership

 

By submitting an application, candidates accept and agree that: (a) Patron would own their application, including the written response submission, and (b) as between applicant and Patron, Patron would own all issuing rights in the submission of written response and to the application. Every candidate hereby conclusively transfers, sells, allocates, grants, and conveys to the Sponsor, its successors and assigns, all present and future right, title and interest of every kind and nature whatever, including, without restriction, all copyrights, and all rights linked, secondary, auxiliary or related to it (including, without limitation, all derivative rights) in and to the application and the written response submissions for misuse throughout the United States of America, in eternity, by means of any and all media and devices whether now known or hereafter devised (the “Rights”). The patron shall have the right, in its only decision, to edit, composite, scan, duplicate, or modify, the application and written response submissions for any purpose which Promoter considers compulsory or desirable, and each applicant permanently waives any and all so-called moral rights they may have in the application and written response submission(s) submitted by him or her. Every applicant acknowledges that such Applicant does not reserve any rights in and to the application and the written response submissions.

 

Dispute Resolution

 

Except where proscribed, by contributing, Candidate agrees that all matters and queries regarding the construction, legitimacy, explanation, and enforceability of these Official Rules, or the rights and responsibilities of applicants and Patron and their agents shall be administered by and construed completely in accordance with the regulations of the United States without giving effect to any values of conflicts of law of any influence. Candidate agrees that any action at law or in impartiality arising out of or concerning to this Scholarship Program, or bestowing of the prizes, shall be filed only in the state or federal courts of residence and candidate hereby accords and submits to the personal authority of such courts for the purposes of contesting any such action. Except where barred, by contributing in this Scholarship Program, the candidate agrees that: (a) any and all disagreements, claims, and causes of action arising out of or associated with this Scholarship Program, or bestowing of the Scholarship prizes, shall be resolved independently, without resort to any form of class action; and (b) any and all entitlements, verdicts, and awards shall be restricted to actual out-of-pocket costs acquired, with costs linked with contributing in this Scholarship Program but in no event attorneys’ fees; and (c) under no conditions will an applicant be allowed to obtain awards for and hereby relinquishes all rights to claim retaliatory, accompanying and significant damages and any other damages, other than for actual out-of-pocket expenditures, and any and all rights to have damages multiplied or else enlarged. Some dominions do not allow the limits or prohibiting of liability for incidental or significant damages, so the above may not apply to the applicant.

 

Representations and Warranties/Indemnification

 

Every individual who enters this Scholarship Program signifies and warrants to Patron as follows: (i) the application, with the written response submission is the candidate’s own original, previously not published, and previously work not produced; (ii) the written response submission is exclusively unique with the candidate and as of the submission date, is not the topic of any definite or vulnerable lawsuit or claim; (iii) the written response submission neither infringes upon nor disturbs the intellectual property rights or other rights of any other individual or entity; (iv) the written response submission does not and would not violate any related regulations, and meets the Submission Requirements set forth above. Each candidate hereby agrees to insure and hold the Patron harmless from and against any and all third-party claims, activities, or reports of any kind and from any and all damages, obligations, costs, and expenditures relating to or arising out of any breach or suspected breach of any of the assurances, representations or treaties of candidate hereunder.
