The UNICEF Human Resources Business Partner provides client-facing support to HQ Divisions throughout employee-life cycle. The Emergencies Cone in the HRBP Team provides support to emergencies, including through sourcing, with a focus on diversity, guidance and advice on Human Resources in Emergencies
Eligibilities
Minimum age of applicants must be 25 years old, Nationals of the country of assignment are not eligible, except the assignments in Headquarters duty station
Education:
Advanced higher degree (Master’s or equivalent) in Human Resources, law, business administration/management, Communications, Digital Marketing or related relevant field; a first-level university degree or equivalent in combination with relevant training and/or professional experience may be accepted in lieu of an advanced university degree.
Experience:
- 24 Months Required
- Two years of professional experience in human resource management in an international organization and/or large corporation.
- Knowledge of current theories and practices in human resources management. Ability to research, analyze, evaluate, and synthesize information.

A UN Volunteer receives a Volunteer Living Allowance (VLA) which is composed of the Monthly Living Allowance (MLA) and a Family Allowance (FA) for those with dependents (maximum three).
The Volunteer Living Allowance (VLA) is paid at the end of each month to cover housing, utilities, transportation, communications and other basic needs. The VLA can be computed by applying the Post-Adjustment Multiplier (PAM) to the VLA base rate of US$ 1,651. The VLA base rate is a global rate across the world, while the PAM is duty station/country-specific and fluctuates on a monthly basis according to the cost of living.
This method ensures that international UN Volunteers have comparable purchasing power at all duty stations irrespective of varying costs of living. The PAM is established by the International Civil Service Commission (ICSC) and is published at the beginning of every month on the ICSC website http://icsc.un.org.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
The rapidly changing nature of novel coronavirus COVID-19 has placed significant and increasing restrictions on the freedom of movement of people across the globe, within countries and across borders. Such restrictions make it very difficult for international UN Volunteers to begin their assignments at their assigned duty station and UNV cannot guarantee assignments will proceed as normal.
- Review sourcing requests to help attract candidates. This includes analyzing job, reviewing office profile, diversity targets and any other information shared by Hiring Teams.
- Headhunt for relevant talent and fine-tune sourcing strategies as needed to deliver the right quality and quantity of talent ensuring diverse candidate slates are delivered.
- Leverage digital media tools like job boards, niche sites and the internet to find talent. As needed, leverage locally developed community partners who have been identified as sources for relevant talent.
- Support implementation of webinars and live events and campaigns for outreach and in reach in collaboration with relevant partners
- Ensure timely and efficient screening of applications for minimum eligibility, considering qualifications, competencies, and post requirements.
- Maintain and update KPI, and relevant HR databases for effective reporting of HR activities
- Prepare long/short-list of candidates based on established criteria and add candidate summaries and share list with Hiring Teams.
- Responsible for developing/maintaining/mapping functional areas of expertise and creating selection criteria one-sheets.
- Prepare data and regular reports
- Strengthen their knowledge and understanding of the concept of volunteerism by reading relevant UNV and external publications and take active part in UNV activities (for instance in events that mark International Volunteer Day);
- Be acquainted with and build on traditional and/or local forms of volunteerism in the host country;
- Reflect on the type and quality of voluntary action that they are undertaking, including participation in ongoing reflection activities;
- Contribute articles/write-ups on field experiences and submit them for UNV publications/websites, newsletters, press releases, etc.;
- Assist with the UNV Buddy Programme for newly-arrived UN Volunteers;
- Promote or advise local groups in the use of online volunteering, or encourage relevant local individuals and organizations to use the UNV Online Volunteering service whenever technically possible.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
The rapidly changing nature of novel coronavirus COVID-19 has placed significant and increasing restrictions on the freedom of movement of people across the globe, within countries and across borders. Such restrictions make it very difficult for international UN Volunteers to begin their assignments at their assigned duty station and UNV cannot guarantee assignments will proceed as normal.
- Review sourcing requests to help attract candidates. This includes analyzing job, reviewing office profile, diversity targets and any other information shared by Hiring Teams.
- Headhunt for relevant talent and fine-tune sourcing strategies as needed to deliver the right quality and quantity of talent ensuring diverse candidate slates are delivered.
- Leverage digital media tools like job boards, niche sites and the internet to find talent. As needed, leverage locally developed community partners who have been identified as sources for relevant talent.
- Support implementation of webinars and live events and campaigns for outreach and in reach in collaboration with relevant partners
- Ensure timely and efficient screening of applications for minimum eligibility, considering qualifications, competencies, and post requirements.
- Maintain and update KPI, and relevant HR databases for effective reporting of HR activities
- Prepare long/short-list of candidates based on established criteria and add candidate summaries and share list with Hiring Teams.
- Responsible for developing/maintaining/mapping functional areas of expertise and creating selection criteria one-sheets.
- Prepare data and regular reports
- Strengthen their knowledge and understanding of the concept of volunteerism by reading relevant UNV and external publications and take active part in UNV activities (for instance in events that mark International Volunteer Day);
- Be acquainted with and build on traditional and/or local forms of volunteerism in the host country;
- Reflect on the type and quality of voluntary action that they are undertaking, including participation in ongoing reflection activities;
- Contribute articles/write-ups on field experiences and submit them for UNV publications/websites, newsletters, press releases, etc.;
- Assist with the UNV Buddy Programme for newly-arrived UN Volunteers;
- Promote or advise local groups in the use of online volunteering, or encourage relevant local individuals and organizations to use the UNV Online Volunteering service whenever technically possible.

The UNICEF Human Resources Business Partner provides client-facing support to HQ Divisions throughout employee-life cycle. The Emergencies Cone in the HRBP Team provides support to emergencies, including through sourcing, with a focus on diversity, guidance and advice on Human Resources in Emergencies
BENIFITS
A UN Volunteer receives a Volunteer Living Allowance (VLA) which is composed of the Monthly Living Allowance (MLA) and a Family Allowance (FA) for those with dependents (maximum three).
The Volunteer Living Allowance (VLA) is paid at the end of each month to cover housing, utilities, transportation, communications and other basic needs. The VLA can be computed by applying the Post-Adjustment Multiplier (PAM) to the VLA base rate of US$ 1,651. The VLA base rate is a global rate across the world, while the PAM is duty station/country-specific and fluctuates on a monthly basis according to the cost of living.
This method ensures that international UN Volunteers have comparable purchasing power at all duty stations irrespective of varying costs of living. The PAM is established by the International Civil Service Commission (ICSC) and is published at the beginning of every month on the ICSC website http://icsc.un.org.
Eligibilities
Minimum age of applicants must be 25 years old, Nationals of the country of assignment are not eligible, except the assignments in Headquarters duty station
Education:
Advanced higher degree (Master’s or equivalent) in Human Resources, law, business administration/management, Communications, Digital Marketing or related relevant field; a first-level university degree or equivalent in combination with relevant training and/or professional experience may be accepted in lieu of an advanced university degree.
Experience:
- 24 Months Required
- Two years of professional experience in human resource management in an international organization and/or large corporation.
- Knowledge of current theories and practices in human resources management. Ability to research, analyze, evaluate, and synthesize information.
