Zhejiang University (ZJU) is one of China’s top higher education institutions, as well as one of its oldest; its roots can be traced back to 1897 and the founding of the Qiushi Academy. Located in Hangzhou – one of China’s most picturesque cities – the University is organized across seven faculties and 37 schools. It is home to 3,941 full-time faculty members, including 50 members of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and the Chinese Academy of Engineering. ZJU has 62,122 students (including part-time students), over 54% of whom are postgraduate students.
Zhejiang University will examine all the application materials. Decisions for granting the scholarships will be made on the basis of the applicant’s competitiveness, academic record and other preset standards. List of Scholarship awardees is expected to be announced in late July or early August 2021.

Application Process
In addition to the application documents for admissions(please refer to following admission bulletin for more information: Master’s Degree Programs, Doctoral Degree Programs) ZJU Scholarship applicants must submit the following supplementary materials.
- Application Form for Zhejiang University Scholarship for International Postgraduate Students.
Applicants must first log on the online Application & Admission System for International Students, Zhejiang University to fill in the information, and then print and sign the form.
- Photocopy of Foreigner Physical Examination Form(filled in English). The original copy should be kept by the applicant. The medical examinations must cover all the items listed in the Foreigner Physical Examination Form. Incomplete records or those without the signature of the attending physician, the official stamp of the hospital or a sealed photograph of the applicants are invalid.
- 2021 Version of Form for Provisional Acceptance of International Student by ZJU supervisor.
- Scholarship Applicants are strongly encouraged to provide GRE、NTS-GAT test scores.
Announcement of Scholarship Review Results
Zhejiang University will examine all the application materials. Decisions for granting the scholarships will be made on the basis of the applicant’s competitiveness, academic record and other preset standards. The list of Scholarship awardees is expected to be announced in late July or early August 2021.
Note:
- The incomplete application materials will not be processed.There is NO need for the delivery of hard copies of the application materials. Hard copies of the application materials will NOT be reviewed and further processed;
- Please note the winter break is from January 29th 2021 to February 26th 2021, Application materialssubmittedduring the above-mentioned time period will be processed after the beginning of the new semester.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
- You ONLY need to pay one application fee for both the admission to Zhejiang University’s post-graduate programs and Zhejiang University Scholarship for International Postgraduate Students.
- Scholarship students must go through the Study Review each semester. The scholarship will be terminated if the student fails in the Study Review.
- The Zhejiang University Scholarship’s period is the same with the study period on the Admission Notice and CAN NOT be extended.
- Scholarships of the students who suspend their studies due to illness or for other reasons will not be reserved.
- The International College of Zhejiang University is responsible for the interpretation of the scholarship granting procedures and regulations.

Incomplete records or those without the signature of the attending physician, the official stamp of the hospital or a sealed photograph of the applicants are invalid.
- 2021 Version of Form for Provisional Acceptance of International Student by ZJU supervisor.
- Scholarship Applicants are strongly encouraged to provide GRE、NTS-GAT test scores.
Announcement of Scholarship Review Results
Zhejiang University will examine all the application materials. Decisions for granting the scholarships will be made on the basis of the applicant’s competitiveness, academic record and other preset standards. The list of Scholarship awardees is expected to be announced in late July or early August 2021.
Note:
- The incomplete application materials will not be processed.There is NO need for the delivery of hard copies of the application materials. Hard copies of the application materials will NOT be reviewed and further processed;
- Please note the winter break is from January 29th 2021 to February 26th 2021, Application materialssubmittedduring the above-mentioned time period will be processed after the beginning of the new semester.
